200 kW Diesel Liquid-cooled Open — no enclosure

The C200D6D is a diesel standby set, supplied open with no enclosure, so it is intended for a generator room, a farm building, or a yard where you provide your own housing. Cummins sells this open-frame range as its Agricultural Standby line, with battle short mode that lets the set override faults that would normally shut it down. It weighs 3491 lb and measures 113 x 40 x 56 inches.

Diesel gives you the highest power density and fuel you can store on site, independent of the gas utility - the usual choice when the load is large, the runtime requirement is fixed, or code requires on-site fuel.

Pricing
Quoted per project

Units at this size are specified against your electrical service, switchgear and fuel arrangement, so they are quoted per project rather than listed at a shelf price.

The C200D6D is sold by UTS ElectricPros, an authorized Cummins dealer in Dallas–Fort Worth. Buying through an authorized dealer is what keeps the manufacturer warranty valid — equipment bought from an unauthorized reseller frequently is not covered, and owners tend to find that out at the worst possible moment.

Built in

What the C200D6D does that the spec table does not show

Fuel you control

Diesel is stored on site, so the set is independent of the gas utility entirely. For a clinic, a restaurant, cold storage or a data closet that independence is usually the whole reason for choosing diesel.

1800 rpm

Half the engine speed of a residential air-cooled unit. Fewer revolutions per running hour is why these are specified where the set may run for days rather than minutes.

PowerCommand control

Digital governing, voltage regulation, alarm and status monitoring, with auto-shutdown on fault detection and NFPA 110 Level 1 compliance.

Fuel that needs managing

Diesel degrades, absorbs water and grows biological contamination if it sits. A set that runs rarely needs its fuel maintained, not just topped up — which is part of what a service visit covers.

Questions about the C200D6D

How much does a Cummins C200D6D cost installed in Dallas-Fort Worth?

The C200D6D is quoted per project rather than listed at a shelf price. Units at this size are specified against your electrical service, switchgear and fuel arrangement, so a shelf number would be meaningless. Tell us the application and we will put equipment and installation in writing together.

What will the C200D6D actually run?

Commercial standby power for facilities with substantial motor and HVAC load. Final confirmation comes from a load calculation against your actual panel, which we do at the survey.

Do I need a transfer switch with the C200D6D?

Yes. A standby generator cannot be code-compliantly connected without an automatic transfer switch - it is what keeps your generator from backfeeding the utility line and endangering line crews. The switch is sized to your electrical service, not to the generator, so we confirm your service size at the survey before specifying it.

Is the C200D6D in stock?

Availability changes weekly. A refundable deposit reserves a specific unit and locks the equipment price for 90 days, which is the practical way to hold one while the survey and permit work happen. If we cannot source it in a reasonable window, you get the deposit back.

Step up or down

Is 200kW the right size?

The next capacity either side in the diesel range. If you are not sure which way to go, the sizing calculator works it out against your own house rather than its square footage alone.

Down to 175kW — less headroom, lower install cost.

What it is for

Keeping a business open when the power is not

When the power stops the business stops. Refrigeration thaws, the point of sale goes dark, card payments fail, doors and tills stop working and staff get sent home. For a clinic or a restaurant it is not only lost revenue, it is a food-safety and patient-care obligation.

Why it becomes urgent

The same storm and grid events that take out homes take out the block the business sits on, and a commercial outage costs money by the hour from the first minute.

Who buys it

Offices, clinics, restaurants, retail suites and small industrial buildings that cannot close for a day.

The C200D6D is installed across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex by our own licensed crews — the cities we serve, what installation involves, and a free on-site survey before any number is put in writing.

Installed across Dallas–Fort Worth

The C200D6D ships anywhere in the country. Installation is Dallas–Fort Worth only, carried out by our own licensed crews under TECL #40628 operating from Grand Prairie — because a generator is quoted against your gas meter, your panel and your city, which nobody can do from a warehouse.
