12,000-watt RV genset, diesel, 120/240V. The generator most coaches are built around.
Representative manufacturer image of the range. Enclosure finish, color and dimensions vary by model and configuration — see the specifications below for this unit.
Onan is the genset the RV industry standardized on, which has a practical consequence beyond brand preference: parts, filters and service documentation are available everywhere, and any competent RV shop in the country has worked on one. That is worth real money the first time something fails three states from home.
At 12,000 watts this unit will run two rooftop air conditioners plus the rest of the coach. Air conditioning is almost always the deciding load in a coach, and the surge at startup - not the steady draw - is what sets the requirement.
As a QD-series diesel set it draws from the coach fuel tank, so there is no separate fuel to manage. Note that these ship without a battery charger.

At 12,000 watts it will run two rooftop air conditioners plus the rest of the coach. Rooftop air conditioners draw a large surge on startup, so the practical limit is usually the starting load rather than the running load. A soft-start module on the AC changes that math considerably and is often cheaper than moving up a generator size.
Diesel gensets pull from the coach's existing fuel tank, so there is no second fuel to manage and no propane to run out of at a boondocking site. They are the standard on diesel pushers for exactly that reason. They also tend to last longer under heavy hours than a gasoline set.
No. This model is not CARB compliant and cannot be sold new into California or CARB-aligned states. For Texas use that is not a restriction, but it is worth knowing if you may resell the coach across state lines.
